As an Online Chat Support Agent, you will be the first point of contact for community members seeking information, assistance, and non-emergency support through our digital communication channels. This remote role offers a competitive salary range of $49,000 - $55,000 yearly, along with the opportunity to grow within a dedicated public safety organization committed to serving Liberty Township with professionalism and care.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to online chat inquiries from community members
• Provide accurate information regarding department services, programs, and non-emergency matters
• Direct urgent or emergency situations to the appropriate emergency response channels
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all chat interactions
• Escalate complex or sensitive inquiries to the appropriate department personnel
• Ensure a compassionate and respectful tone in all community communications
• Stay informed about department policies, procedures, and community resources
• Collaborate with team members to maintain consistent service quality
• Identify recurring community questions and report trends to supervisors
• Adhere to privacy and confidentiality standards when handling community information
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with department protocols

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
