Providing health communications and digital media support, the full-time remote Health Communications Specialist I will translate complex data into accessible language, develop audience-specific materials, and coordinate strategic communications within the Office of the Director. Key responsibilities Translate complex data outcomes and methodologies into plain language for diverse audiences Develop and manage audience-specific materials, including web content, fact sheets, and social media content Provide strategic direction for DHQP data communications and collaborate with CDC communications professionals Required qualifications Four or more years of experience in Health Communications or Public Health Education Experience with current 508 compliance requirements and the Clear Communication Index Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Public Trust Clearance Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Health Education, Public Health, or a related field is preferred
