For our client, an iconic tech company known for its innovative products and design, we are looking for a skilled German Editor to join our team at OLIVER. As part of our network of freelancers, you will ensure the highest quality of localized marketing copy across various platforms and channels while maintaining the brand’s established tone of voice. Key Responsibilities: Localizing, editing, and proofreading marketing communications, including web content, in-store materials, direct mail, print, and other materials. Validating localized marketing copy for your market. Ensuring consistency with approved translations (translation memory and glossaries). Adhering to grammar, spelling, and punctuation rules. Applying brand writing guidelines effectively. Key Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in editing/proofreading/translation, either Agency or Client side. Proven experience working with translation, localization, or linguistic quality assurance (LQA) projects. Familiarity with German-language copy for the AT and CHDE markets. Strong awareness of cultural and linguistic nuances specific to your market. Native German speaker. Excellent command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation in German. Ability to adapt and refine content to align with brand tone and guidelines. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote teams. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
